In the spring of 2005, John and Julie
Austin notified the session of St. Peter Presbyterian Church that
they would be leaving. The session of the church responded on May
14, 2005 by censuring them: suspending them from the Lord's Table,
instructing the congregation of St. Peter to shun the Austin family,
and threatening the Austins with excommunication should they not
repent and submit.

of St. Peter Presbyterian Church, detailing the many ways in which
the treatment of the Austins by the session was unbiblical and contrary
to the denomination's constitution, and demanding that the session
repent and lift the censure.
